NT 002 773 A small excavation was undertaken in August2002 to assess the potential damage to archaeologically significant deposits during the erection of two bollards to the W of the main entrance to the Palace. Two trenches were excavated to a depth of750mm. It was shown that excavation below 450mm is likely to disturb significant archaeological remains.
