A probable kiln lies to the west of the public road within Cnoc-culphail croft. The kiln appears as a sub-rectangular structure aligned north-south, 4.5m broad by 5.0m long, and standing to 0.75m high, with an opening to the north. The walls appear as banks around the western half of the site and as free standing boulders to the east. The interior of the banked half is almost circular, 1.0m in diameter, with an opening to the east.

The structure may have been truncated by rig and furrow to the north. In addition a small proportion of the eastern banked wall has been eroded, exposing a wall, 1.0m broad, boulder-faced with a rubble core.

The site was surveyed at 1:50 by AOC (Scotland) Ltd see Rees 1996 for plan.
