Scope and Content Culter Paper Mills, Aberdeenshire This complex was founded as a hand-made paper mill, and introduced a continuous paper machine in the mid 19th century. It was by 1976 making high-grade papers. This view shows the warehouse for inspecting and storing finished paper. It was granite-faced, with some architectural refinement, reflecting the status of the concern. The mill closed in 1982, and has since been dismantled, and houses built on the site.
