Scope and Content Todhead Lighthouse, Kincardineshire Tod Head lighthouse was designed by DA Stevenson for the Northern Lighthouse Board. It has a short circular-section tower, with a corbelled gallery, and a triangular-paned lantern. The keepers' houses and engine room are flat roofed. This view shows the lighthouse complex from the west, with two-storey keepers' houses on the left, and the single-storey engine room between them and the tower. The foghorn is in the distance on the right. As with all the Northern Lighthouse Board's lights, this one has been converted to automatic operation. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
