Scope and Content Thurso Station, Caithness This station was built by the Sutherland and Caithness Railway. It is unusual for a station of its character in Scotland in having a train shed, a concession to the climate. This view shows the exterior of the station from the approach road. The waiting accommodation is beyond the jamb on the right. The other terminus of this railway, Wick, has a very similar building. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
