Scope and Content Former Dornoch Station, Sutherland This was the terminus of the Dornoch Light Railway from The Mound, built to cater for Dornoch's growing importance as a select holiday resort. The hipped roof and vertically-boarded timber construction are typical of the period. This view shows the station from the south east. The railway was closed to all traffic in 1960, and by 1974 this building had become a craft shop. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
