Scope and Content Symbol stone known as the Raven Stone at the Church of Tyrie, Aberdeenshire This stone was found in the foundations of the old parish church at Tyrie. It is now built into the wall of the present church, at the top of a set of stairs in the vestibule. This is a drawing of the stone which appeared in John Stuart's 1856 publication 'The Sculptured Stones of Scotland'. At the top is an eagle. Below this is a divided rectangle and Z-rod.
