Scope and Content Warehouse, West Shore Street, Ullapool, Highland Ullapool was refounded in 1788 by the British Fisheries Society who allocated plots and erected a pier, warehouses and an inn. Six years later, local herring stocks vanished and the town's economy collapsed. Its economy revived in the mid 19th century. This is one of the several warehouses built during the town's herring boom. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
