Scope and Content Details of column base, Cromarty Memorial, burial aisle, Parish Church, Kilmuir Easter, Highland Kilmuir Easter Parish Church was constructed in its present form in 1797-8 incorporating a pre-existing burial aisle and belfry. The windows and interior were altered in 1903. This is the base of the columns of the base of the monument to Dame Grizel Stewart who died in 1634. The technical term for the decoration is 'strapwork'. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
