Scope and Content This image shows the extensive croftlands of Balvaird, NE of Muir of Ord. At top R of the photo is the W end of the Cromarty Firth. From the top of the photo, downwards, are the towns of Dingwall, Maryburgh and then Conon Bridge, the latter two separated by the Conon river just before it enters the firth.
