Scope and Content In the centre is a cemetery and ruined chapel. HER and Canmore refer to the War memorial, the now ruined Gaelic Chapel, erected by George Ross in 1783. The near right hand area of Cromarty was the Fishertown settlement. The harbour at the top constructed circa 1880, played an important part in the hemp industry and fishing. Top left of the harbour is the U-shaped Cromarty Hemp Works built for George Ross of Cromarty circa 1780. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
