Scope and Content Findochty expanded as a fishing port in the 18th and 19th-C, but declined with the opening of a better harbour at Buckie in the late 19th-C. In lower left sector of image are traditional fishertown cottages built gable-end to the shore. The Bin of Cullen, with a possible hillfort at its summit, occupies the mid-skyline, with the Knock Hill on the far horizon beyond.
