Description Interior. Tanyard. Preparation of hides prior to tanning. View of Fleshing Machine which removes fat and tissue from the underside of the hide. Fleshing also helps to 'relax' the skins and removes other remaining hair and roots from the uppermost surface of the hide. Note the fleshings flowing out the bottom of the machine.
