SUERC-9012

Sample 165 Context 575 Thin organic layer containing uncrushed shells. This layer overlay a trampled shell deposit [574]. It is located 2.5m to the north of the main midden deposit and represents evidence for off-midden activity. It was sealed by wind blown sand [573]. The sample is from a small discrete deposit of uncrushed shells that overlay a small area of trampled shell. It is likely that little time passed between death and it's incorporation into the context in which it was found.
