Scottish Radiocarbon Database

SUERC-4072

The human left humerus of Burial 5 from the complete remains of a crouched inhumation laid on the floor of a burial cist (Cist 1) sealed below cist capstone set within the base of a large pit c. 1m deep. The disarticulated remains of a second burial (4) were present in the same cist. The measurement was a repeat of GU-10818 (3340+/-75) and both broadly confirms the result for SUERC-4083 (3725+/-35) and shows that the original analysis GU-10818 should be ignored.
