Sample CH06#54 Context 1150 Floor layer 1150 in House 801 (only floor of southern roundhouse). Deposit of laminated black and orange lenses of peat ash forming a floor layer above fill layer 431 and sealed by windblown sand layer 429. Site Phase 9 The sheep/goat left tibia is most likely to have been deposited as the result of activities within the house in which butchered joints were brought in from outside. Very little time is likely to have elapsed between the sheep/goat's death and the unfused bone's incorporation into the archaeological context of the floor deposit.
