Sample CH06# 22 Context 1310 Inter-floor fill layer 1310 within House 401 (second phase of middle round house). Deposit of mottled brown sand forming the imported fill above floor layer 1311 and sealed by floor layer 1308. This layer was brought in from outside the roundhouse and levelled up for the new floor (1308) to be established on top of it. Site Phase 10. The unfused sheep radius is likely to have been deposited into this layer as it formed. Very little time is likely to have elapsed between the death of the sheep and the incorporation of its articulating unfused epiphysis into the archaeological context of the deposit.
