C14 Radiocarbon Dating - Sample - GaK-2493

A large lump of charcoal (27.RR) 10-20 cm deep in the fill of post-hole 8b of the main oval ring of the dun; see also GU-1366 (2225+/-80 BP) and GU-1368 (1950+/-65 BP). PROBLEM: See Spriggs and Anderson 1993 for reservations about the accuracy of many GaK dates measured in the 1970s and 80s.
