A horizontal alder timber, which forms part of an horizontal framework on the site. The timber was beneath a deposit of estuarine silts and sands and covered by stones. All deposits and timbers are waterlogged. The timbers were felled and possibly worked on site prior to laying as part of the framework. They were placed on top of a wattle lined pit which contains smaller organic remains.
