Scottish Radiocarbon Database

GU-4540

An oak timber which protruded from the centre of the site. The timber was photographed in 1909 by O Blundell. Partially covering the timber were estuarine sediments and surface stones. The site, if similar to Redcastle (NH 5858 4895 ) would appear to consist of timbers and sedimentary deposits, consolidated in a mass.
