C14 Radiocarbon Dating - Sample - GU-3874

Charred oats from a deposit (613/2048) on the crudely paved floor of a kiln and associated with a major fire in Structure 15. An earlier measurement of the age of oats from this context (GU-3414; 1670+/-80 BP) was one in a series of earlier measurements which included aberrantly early dates probably resulting from contamination in the laboratory process.
