C14 Radiocarbon Dating - Sample - GU-3418

WITHDRAWN Birch (and two fragments of hazel) charcoal from a post (163/5196) of a wattle fence over or in the palisade trench perhaps revetting the bank of the monastic enclosure. This date came from a series of measurements which included anomalously old dates, probably due to laboratory contamination. The sample was re-dated as 3418R (1240+/-60 BP).
