Charcoal from a dense mass of charcoal on an OGS underlying peat in a mound which contained a small standing stone presumed to be related to the nearby stone circle. See also GX-4841 (3005+/- 130 BP) from the same ground surface. If the quoted errors are multiplied by 1.4 (see introduction) these two dates are not significantly different.
