AA-25221

A single piece of birch charcoal from a shallow scoop occupying most of the central area of the ring cairn. A large quantity of the cremated bone was found within the same feature an comes from a single burial - an adult male. Charcoal was confined to the distribution of the cremated bones and was sealed by a well defined layer of flat slabs. It should represent charcoal from the cremation pyre. See also AA-25219-20
