Archaeology Notes

NT53SW 61 c.507 342.

Built into the wall of the inner garden at Abbotsford, and presumably placed there by Sir Walter Scott, is part of a commemorative tablet inscribed VEXI(LL ATIO)/ LEG(IONIS) XXI(I)/PRIMIG(ENIAE). It probably came from the neighbourhood of Falkirk.
