At the north-western corner of the farm buildings of North Westfield there stands a boundary stone marked 'ABD 24' erected post 1790 near or on the site of its predecessor which, in 1698 was described as being '...at Brunie's grave...' (NJ80NE 3 - The Freedom Lands).

D B Gunn 1929

This plain granite boundary stone inscribed 24 ABD was located at NJ 8441 0394. There is no trace of its predecessor and no information was found regarding 'Brunie's Grave'.

Visited by OS (WDJ) 20 November 1961.

This boundary stone is situated at the edge of a small field of pasture about 35m W of the house at North Westfield farmsteading (NJ80SW 52). Rectangular in section, the stone is of dressed granite and measures 0.29m by 0.2m at ground level and 0.5m in height. The upper part of the SW face is bevelled, reducing the thickness of the stone to 0.08m at the top. On this bevelled face there are the incised letters ABD below the number 24.

Visited by RCAHMS (JRS, ATW). 11 February 1996.
