Situated on Netherhills farm, on the S side of the road leading from Newhills to Bucksburn. Marked 41 ABD. In 1698, the boundary here was marked by a cairn and a cup-marked stone, still in place beside the lettered stone.

(Name cited as Netherhills Farm).

NMRS, MS/712/75.

This granite boundary stone is situated on the S side of the public road between Bucksburn and Newhills, about 160m N of Netherhills farmsteading (NJ80NE 178). Rectangular in section, it measures 0.29m in breadth by 0.2m in thickness and 0.66m in height. The top of the N face is bevelled and bears the letters ABD below the number 41. Nothing is now visible of the cup-marked stone that was visible at this location in 1698 (but see NJ80NE 25).

Visited by RCAHMS (JRS), 19 December 2002.
