Very little can now be seen of this steading, which comprised a cottage standing to the NW of what is now a forest road, and a long range to the SE. Of the cottage, nothing is visible at the edge of the dense coniferous forest, but the footings of the range can still be seen, albeit was choked with brambles, nettles and willow-herb in a young plantation to the SE.
The steading is first depicted on the 2nd edition of the OS 6-inch map (Aberdeenshire 1901, sheet lxv.SE).
