C14 Radiocarbon Dating - Sample - AA-48589

Return to Index

Scottish Radiocarbon Database

AA-48589

A human humerus from layer 729, the final floor layer within building C in the platform area east of the broch. It lies on top of floor 730 and is sealed by layer 702. The radiocarbon dates from the carbonised seeds in these and associated layers were incompatible with the stratigraphic sequence and indicate some degree of mixing.
