NK06NW 4 03519 65568

This concrete pillbox is situated immediately S of the end of the pier of Cairnbulg Harbour (NK06NW 8). A type 24, measuring 12 feet accross by 8 feet high with six sides, door and five loopholes. There is no internal ricochet wall, but tables have been installed underneath the loopholes to accommodate machine guns.

The pillbox was purchased by a local fisherman in 1947 and is still used by him and his son to store creel baskets.
