ANTI AIRCRAFT BATTERY A defensive position containing one or more artillery pieces or rocket launchers.
COASTAL BATTERY A defensive gun battery positioned on the coast and facing out to sea.
RADAR MAST A mast of metal girders (or wood) in a lattice construction for use by a Radar Station. Usually stands on four concrete plinths and is often supported by additional wires.
RADAR SITE A mobile radar unit used to provide local gun batteries with information on the range and height of aircraft and ships.
