AQUEDUCT	An artificial channel, generally elevated and built of stone, and used to convey water.
CONDUIT HOUSE	A small building over the end of a water conduit or spring.
LADE	An artificial channel carrying water from a stream or river to a water mill.
PENSTOCKS	A pipe or conduit used to carry water to a turbine.
TAIL RACE	An artificial channel, sometimes underground, that carries water from a waterwheel back to the river or stream from which it was diverted by a LADE.
WATER CHANNEL	An artificial watercourse for the conveyance of water.
WATER PUMPING ENGINE	An engine used to power a water pump.
WELL HOUSE	A building over a well housing machinery for raising the water. Often consisting of a DONKEY WHEEL or HORSE GIN.
