There are two small limekilns, set about 20m apart into the side of a gully in the corner of the field immediately W of the point where the Tinley Cleuch is crossed by the B6357 road. The bowl of the S kiln, at NY 4651 8231 (LID96 169), measures at least 1.2m in depth and narrows from 3.7m in diameter at the top to 1.3m at the base within a stony bank 1m in thickness. Some stonework is visible around the draw hole, which is on the SE. The bowl of the N kiln (LID96 170) is at least 1.5m deep and narrows from 4m in diameter at the top narrowing to 1.6m at the base within a stony bank 1.1m thick. The draw hole is on the E.
