Archaeology Notes

NY37NE 8 c. 370 776.

A Bronze Age stone mould for a chisel and perhaps a small mirror, from Loophill (NY 370 776), found before 1931 was presented to Dumfries Museum by Capt. J G Milne Home 10 March 1950, together with a stone axe and pieces of Roman flue-tile from the Canonbie area.

Capt. Milne Home was unable to give any further information. Finds still in Dumfries Museum.
