For (associated) Johnstone parish manse (NY 0991 9123), see NY09SE 29.

(Johnstone in Annandale). In 1674 part of Garrel was annexed to Johnstone. Part of Dungree was also added in the 17th century.

Johnstone (Glasgow, Annandale). An independent parsonage, the patronage of which pertained to the family of Johnstone of that Ilk in the 16th century.

Piend-roofed L-plan kirk of 1818-19 by the mason-architect John MacDonald, incorporating the S wall and gables of the church built here if 1743-5 and one wall of the earlier Annandale aisle.

Very simple interior, the furnishings introduced in 1881-2 by James Barbour, but pine pulpit is now altered and the E gallery partitioned-off. In the porch, a bell, perhaps 17th century, said to have come from Lochwood Tower (NY09NE 8).
