Field Visit (14 August 1990)

NY19SW 36.01 12601 92046

This burnt mound lies in a slight dip on the side of a low natural knoll on the S edge of a boggy hollow; it measures no more than 3m in diameter. The mound was tested by the removal of a turf and this revealed a mass of reddened angular fragments of stone within a matrix of dark earth which also contained small amounts of charcoal.

Visited by RCAHMS (JRS) 14 August 1990.

Listed as burnt mound.
