(NY 073 687) Crop marks of a circular enclosure with interior disturbance, and traces of a second to SW, visible on air photographs.

NY 0737 6875. In the NE corner of a relatively flat arable field is the site of a sub-circular earthwork, consisting of bank with external ditch and entrance in the SW side. The bank which encloses a slightly hollowed area, is very much spread and reduced almost to ground level. Only faint traces of the ditch are evidence. Immediately to the south of the work a slight mound or raised area (c.30m diameter) is enclosed by a ditch, only the slightest evidence of which is apparent on the ground. This may represent the site of an annexe or a second earthwork, although natural drainage may account for the crop mark.
