Toll House [NAT]

(Location cited as NX 602 566). Tollhouse, probably c. 1790. A very handsome L plan single-storey building on an L plan, with semicircular ends to the wings.

This building is situated at a road fork at the NE end of Gatehouse of Fleet.

Recorded by RCAHMS prior to the closure of the office of architect Anthony Curtis Wolffe, prior to his retirement and the re-conversion of the office into a house. The opportunity was taken to record Mr Wolffe at work.
