Aqueduct [NAT] (centred NX 555 982)

OS 1:10,000 map, 1981.

The aqueduct was built as an element of stage II of the Galloway Hydro-electric Scheme. Together with the dam NX59NE 24, it serves to control the distribution of water between the Loch Doon Reservoir (NX49NE 20) and the Water of Deugh, into which the Bow Burn flows at NX 554 977.

Together with the dam, it partially falls within the area of the field-system NX59NE 9.
