Archaeology Notes

NX49SE 5 c. 48 92.

A bronze pin, found about 4ft under the surface when cutting peats in a moss in Carsphairn parish, near the head of Loch Doon was exhibited to the members of the Society in 1912 by James M'Cargo, Kirkpatrick Durham. It was 3 7/8ins long, with an open circular head 1 inch in diameter, made from one piece of bronze wire.
