A harbour for the school’s motor boats was built south of Beoch farm but its precise location in lost.
A large area from south of Beoch farm to near the Garpel Burn in the south was occupied by the offices and accommodation for the civilian contractor, McAlpine. Up to 1300 men lived and worked here. Little is visible of this large settlement of huts.
