World War One Audit of Surviving Remains (12 June 2013)

Between the McAlpine site and the aerodrome site a hangar was built to house seaplanes used in gunnery training but its precise location is unknown.

Visible on 25cm Orthorectified AP when the water level of the Loch Doon was at or near the 1916 levels is a large concrete stance which may be the base for an seaplane hanger with a possible slipway into the loch. A number of other possible buildings are visible on the APs.
