The location assigned to this record defines the apparent midpoint of the structure. The available map evidence indicates that is aligned roughly E-W (being slightly bowed to the S) and extends from NX 48278 45962 to NX 48350 45974.
This structure evidently gave additional protection to vessels at Garlieston Pier or Harbour (NX44NE 22.00).
