'On the right of the Water of Luce there is a dry stone ruin on Airiehemming, called the "Old Halls of Craig", south of the Craig Burn. There are several rooms on the ground floor, the walls of which are several feet high. It seems to have been L -shaped, with some out-buildings. I have heard no traditions connected with it.' (This site lies not far NW of NX15NE 3).
G Wilson 1899
A building fitting the above description is shown at NX 1726 5988.
OS 25" map (1909)
At this location are the collapsed dry-stone walls of an "L" shaped building (almost certainly depopulation) generally as described by Wilson. Where visible the walls are 0.8m wide with a max. height of about 1.0m. The farmer at Airyhemming did not know of the building as the 'Old Hall of Craig' and no further information was found concerning this name.

On improved ground about 550m NW of Airyhemming steading there are the remains of a farmstead comprising buildings ranged on three sides of a yard.

One unroofed L-shaped building is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Wigtonshire 1850, sheet 17), but it is not shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1991).
