Accessing Scotland's Past Project

To the east of Swinton House is Swinton Dene Cottage, an early nineteenth-century building which once housed the estate kennels.

The cottage itself is a single-storeyed structure, with crowstepped gables and a slated roof. It was refurbished in the late twentieth century.

Adjoining the cottage is another single-storeyed structure which housed the kennels and an associated exercise yard for the dogs.
