There is an elongated enclosure lying at the base of a moderate SE-facing slope to the W of Cliftoncote Farm. The enclosure, which measures 190m from NE to SW by up to 40m, is open on the SE where it is bounded by an unnamed burn. The enclosure is bounded on the NW by the lower edge of an area of cross-contour rig (NT82SW 131) which seems to respect the bank, whilst on the W, the enclosure has perhaps destroyed the lowest parts of the extensive area of contour cultivation. Here the enclosure bank survives as little more than a low scarp whereas elsewhere the bank stands up to 0.5m in height and displays a sharp angular profile indicative of a relatively recent formation. The interior of the enclosure is scarred by drainage ditches.
