Accessing Scotland's Past Project

Wood Cottage is situated to the north-east of Bughtrig House and still forms part of its policies. The cottage was built in the first half of the nineteenth century, with an older ancillary structure to the north.

Built on a rectangular plan, the single-storeyed cottage has an attic floor which is lit by dormer windows. The exterior is of whitewashed harl, with painted dressings. The ancillary structure is now used as a garage.
