The north-west entrance to the Kames policies was constructed in the first half of the nineteenth century.
The estate walls are coated with whitewashed harl and curve inwards to a pair of iron, spearheaded gates. On either side of the gates, pyramids of stone surmount tall gatepiers which are also whitewashed.
