To the north-west of Caldra House, the entrance to the policies is marked by an impressive late nineteenth century gateway.
The gateway is set slightly back from the road, and flanked by low walls that curve around to join the straight estate walls. The walls are surmounted by iron spearheaded railings which follow the same design as the gate.
