Caldra Farm, which was once associated with the nearby Caldra House, is still a working farm. The central square-plan range contains the farmhouse and is a good example of a late eighteenth-century farm building, with many original details surviving.
The farmhouse is situated on the left-hand side of the range, and is a single-storeyed and attic structure which stands slightly higher than the rest of the range. The entrance is through a porch on the outer left, so the rear of the building overlooks the rest of the range which includes cart sheds and stables.
Modern buildings with slate and corrugated iron roofs have been attached to some parts of the original range. The older structures have roofs of red pantile.
